Brad Barr United States

Biography

Guitarist Brad Barr and his brother Andrew were students at the Tabor Academy, a New England boarding school, when they started the rock group the Slip in the mid 1990's. The Slip were readily accepted by the northeast's college "jam rock" scene, and after stints with the band on several labels, Brad Barr branched out on his own. His debut instrumental acoustic guitar album released by Tompkins Square in 2008 uses his Berklee school of music training to melodic advantage whether in tracks inspired by Django Reinhardt, or Nirvana.
