Jolin Tsai (traditional Chinese: ???; pinyin: Cài Y?lín; Wade–Giles: Tsai I-lin; Pe?h-?e-j?: Chhoà I-lîm) (born in Hsinchuang City, Taipei County, Taiwan on 15 September 1980) has been a solo artist since 1998. She is a Taiwanese Golden Melody Award Mandopop singer, dancer and actress. She started out with a MTV singing competition. Followed by her contract with Universal Music, she produced hits like "I Know You Are Sad" (???????) from her first album Jolin 1019.
