Biography

Best known as a violinist and, later, orchestra leader, Charles Veal also recorded two R&B vocal albums for Capitol during the early '80s. Also a capable viola and saxophone player, Veal studied music at the University of Southern California, where his teachers included Jascha Heifetz. He went on to become a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, among several other orchestras, and made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1975. Among many other credits
