Journey to Ixtlan is a new age doom metal / occult desert rock band from California, United States, founded by Clay Ruby aka Burial Hex (also in Wormsblood, Second Family Band, Jex Thoth, etc.). Their self-titled album, released in 2009, has been described as "an outlandish synthesis of doom metal, psychedelia, family folk and the indigenous sounds of the American Southwest".
