Biography
There are at least four projects called Mandigo. 1- Mandingo is the name of a fake exotica group from the '70s created by studio musicians (Geoff Love & His Orchestra) and producers. Together they mixed African rhythms and percussion with progressive rock, funk and jazz. They released several albums on EMI. 2- Bill Laswell project called Mandingo Band members: Bill Laswell, Foday Musa Suso, Jeff Bova and Nicky Skopelitis A Bill Laswell world / funk / jazz fusion experiments
