Biography

Philip Carden Thornalley was born in Worlington, Suffolk, England on January 5th, 1960. Phil was the producer for The Cure on their fourth album, Pornography. After Simon Gallup quit in 1982, he filled in as their bassist during the recording of Japanese Whispers, which he also helped produce as well, and The Cure's first live album, Concert. Robert Smith would later cite his work for engineering with The Psychedelic Furs as the motivation for their choice in Thornalley.
