Stock, Hausen & Walkman United Kingdom

Biography

No other artist's name made quite as much sense as that of sound collage group Stock, Hausen & Walkman - a triple pun embracing pioneering electronic composer and theorist Karlheinz Stockhausen, the '80s pop-by-numbers production team Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Stock, Hausen & Walkman formed in the UK in 1989 as an experimental/improv quartet consisting of Andrew Sharpley, Matthew Wand, cellist Dan Weaver, and guitarist Rex Casswell. They played at Derek Bailey's request in 1990
