800 Cherries are the Tokyo-based Shibuya-kei duo of Manami Marufuji (???????, vocals/guitar/keyboards) and Masayuki Takahashi (????, guitar/bass/keyboards/production). They formed as a 3-piece unit in Sapporo in 1994 with Ritsuko Ôtera (???????), who left in 1997. The 800 Cherries sound has evolved from ethereal, acoustic, and guitar-based into a more electic style that incorporates electronic and glitch influences
