Alexi Tuomarila Trio Finland
Biography
Alexi Tuomarila (b. 1972) is a finnish jazz pianist. The regular line-up of his trio consists of finnish drummer Olavi Louhivuori and norwegian bass player Mats Eilertsen. With this line-up, the trio released album Constellation in 2006. Alexi Tuomarila started playing piano at the age of 4 with the Suzuki Method and went to study classical piano at the Espoo Music Institute, Finland (1980-1992). The jazz bug bit him after being introduced to his fathers record collection.
