It seems there are 2 bands going under the name Ancient Astronaut 1) Ancient Astronaut, a mysterious group based in Vancouver and London. Their moniker — a reference to the pseudo-scientific theory that extraterrestrials had made human contact back in antiquity — sets the tone for their jagged, rotting electronics; dark, out-of-focus beats; and blindingly harsh contrasts. Their self-titled album is on the noisy side of the “dance” spectrum
