Biruta Ozoli?a (b. 1959) is a Latvian folk musician and singer from R?zekne, Latvia. Besides her solo activities she has also colloborated with famous world folk music band I??i and etno-jazz band Patina. Her debut album Bolta Eimu was recorded over a twelve-year span, the fourteen songs are largely from Biruta Ozoli?a's native area, Latgale. Many of the songs were chosen from manuscripts compiled in the late 1800s. Biruta Ozoli?a is known for her ability to sing in an open and direct way
