"Calvin, don't jump!" has been the musical project of J. Kirk Pleasant for the last ten years. It's been described as "psychedelic folk, oblique lyrics". Each album, however, has varied dramatically from the original 'crystal clear mississippi' with it's cacophany of friends and suites, to 'a way with birds', which had consistent musicians on every other track interspersed with instrumentals by pleasant himself.
