Biography
Tenor saxophonist, David Sanchez, was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, began playing percussion and drums before discovering tenor sax several years later. As a student of La Escuela Libre de Musica in San Juan, he subsequently became proficient with the soprano and alto saxophone, as well as with clarinet and flute. He received a scholarship at Rutgers University which afforded him the opportunity to frequent the jazz scene in New York City. Working with artists such as Eddie Palmieri
