Biography

The Guarneri Quartet is an American string quartet originally founded in 1964. In 2005, the group is comprised of Arnold Steinhardt (first violin), John Dalley (second violin), Michael Tree (viola), and Peter Wiley (cello). David Soyer was the cellist from 1964–2001. The Quartet's 40th anniversary was celebrated during an extensive tour in the United States, Europe and South America in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 seasons. The Quartet continues their longstanding performance at the University of Maryland
