Biography
The HK & Saltimbank is a French popular music band from Lille. The HK & Saltimbank was formed in 2006 under the leadership of HK, one of two singers of the Ministry of Popular. The musical style of the HK & Saltimbank rather focused on the blues, reggae or chaabi, however, differs radically from that of MAP over hip-hop party scene. The group wrote texts that describe the excesses committed a part of society, so one finds recurring themes such as social exclusion, inequality, overconsumption.
