Biography

At fifteen Jay Kaye made the trek from California to British Columbia to record his debut album, 1968's Suddenly One Summer for White Whale records. As the son of Mary Kaye, he was familiar with guitar from an early age. Growing up listening to the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix among others shaped his psychedelic pop direction on his only album under the J.K. and Co. moniker. A concept album about the life and death of a young man, Kaye utilized session musicians to produce an album akin to the Beatles psychedelic efforts using sitar
