Kuupuu Finland
Biography
Kuupuu is a solo project of Jonna Karanka, from Helsinki, Finland. She's been involved in such groups as Avarus, Anaksimandros, Maniacs Dream, Kukkiva Poliisi, Lussu & Pami, Lussu ja Magneetti, Kermakolmio, Hertta Lussu Ässä, Thriller Bingo, Way Of The Cross, etc. Kuupuu plays partly improvised spooky boogie with tapes, loops, toys, casios, effects and voices. Using delayed effects, she creates a sort of psychedelic sonic shingled effect by drawing from numerous percussion and wind instruments (bells, castanets, whistles, toy piano, etc).
