Biography
Clara Lucila Campos Marcial (16 August 1938 – 12 December 2016 in Lima) was a Peruvian singer known as "la Morena Espectáculo" and "Reina de las Polladas". Lucila Campos, the quintessential interpreter of Afro-Peruvian folk music, was, for 17 years, a prominent member of Black Peru, an Afro-Peruvian cultural association whose mission was to preserve the art and culture of Blacks in Peru. Ms. Campos began singing at a young age, her first song was Peruanita Bonita.
