The band name Octobre currently refers to more than one artist; (1) ) Octobre is an OI!/Metal band with Folk influences from Québec. The band focus mostly on Québec Independence and Québécois Identity/history, as well as Celtic Paganism. The name ''Octobre'' was inspired by the FLQ crisis of October 1970 in Québec. (2) Early 80's french new wave band founded by ex-Marquis De Sade and Marie et les Garçons members. Released two albums, "Next Year In Asia" in 1982 and "Paolino Parc" in 1983.
