Biography
P?rkons (this means Thunder in Latvian) was one of the most popular and scandalous bands of 1980's in Latvia. They formed in R?ga, Latvia in 1981. Because of the bands politically sharp lyrics it was banned for some time. The lyrics of the songs were mostly poems by M?ris Melgalvs and Kl?vs Elsbergs. Juris Kulakovs composed the music. Though P?rkons stopped their active work in early 1990's, the band still does some concerts from time to time.
