Something a little different for the Spectrum Spools label, ‘Parthenon’ is the debut from PLVS VLTRA, the pseudonym of veteran musician Toko Yasuda, who’s probably best known for her work as part of Enon. ‘Parthenon’ is, for all accounts and purposes, a pop record. Of course it’s not your regular kind of pop, but pop it is – there are vocals, choruses, melodies and it’s likely to get stuck in your head. ‘Parthenon’ is mercilessly put through the smoothie maker though; sounds are eroded
