Biography
Shantalla is five Irishmen and one Scotswoman who all live in Belgium. Band members: Michael Horgan (uilleann pipes, flute, whistles) Joe Hennon (guitar) Helen Flaherty (vocals, bodhran) Kieran Fahy (fiddle, viola) Gerry Murray (accordeon, bouzouki, mandolin, whistles) Simon Donnelly (guitar, bouzouki, vocals) Their debut album 'Shantalla' was released in Europe in 1998 and worldwide in Feburary 2000. The album went straight to #2 on the US Celtic radio chart and remained in the top 10 for more than 6 months.
