Stephen O'Malley (sometimes referred to as SOMA) is a producer & musician, predominantly a guitarist, from Seattle, Washington who has conceptualized and participated in numerous drone doom, death/doom, and experimental bands since 1993. O'Malley is a founding member of several groups including Sunn O))), Burning Witch, KTL, Khanate and others. He has worked with a variety of artists including Greg Anderson, Merzbow, James Plotkin, Julian Cope, Joe Preston
