Biography

Composer Süleyman Erguner is a Ney player. Ney is the traditional Middle Eastern wind instrument. His father is Neyzen Ulvi Erguner (1924-1974) and his grandfather is Neyzen Suleyman Erguner (1902-1953) who are great masters of the Classical Turkish Music for both composition and performance. Grandson Suleyman Erguner learned to play the ney in his childhood – at the age of five- from his father. Since his childhood he participated in Mevlevi rituals in Konya and some special essembles to perform the classical Turkish music.
