Telegraph Melts released just two 45s and one full-length on Absolutely Kosher over a too-short career. But their inventive sound paved the way for the likes of Rachel's, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Sigur Ros and other post-rock ensembles. Instrumentation consisted of amplified cello, electric guitar, and percussion. The Arlington, VA, band formed in late 1997 and broke up in May of 2000.
