Thanh Lam (?oàn Thanh Lam) is a Vietnamese singer and song-writer who has been a long-standing Diva in Vietnamese comtemporary music. Early life and education Thanh Lam was born in Hanoi on June 19, 1969 to music composer Thu?n Y?n and traditional music artist Thanh H??ng. She has one younger brother, Trí Minh. At the age of 9, Thanh Lam started studying ?àn t? bà (a Vietnamese traditional music instrument) at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music.
