Born out of rap's golden era, The '87 Stick Up Kids have emerged as a bastion of true school rap revivalism. Their adept witticisms and natural storytelling collide head on with party monstered, colorfully-produced head bangers, creating a patchwork reflection of hip-hop's vibrant past and ever-changing right now. Nashville, Squish and DJ Rockwell met each other while attending high school in Los Angeles. A mutual interest in music, house parties, and LA's beautiful women laid the groundwork for what would become a longstanding friendship.
