The Last Known Whereabouts are a bluegrass band out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founding members Aaron Hagenson (guitar, vocals) and Jake Stroup (mandolin, vocals) met in 2002 while students at St. Olaf and Carleton Colleges, in Northfield, MN, when both were asked to join the same fledgling cover band. The band, Pigs in a Pen, underwent several lineup changes in the next four years as members graduated or moved away, and Aaron Cross (fiddle) and Carl Haskins (bass), also recruited from Carleton and St.
