Biography
Composer for 6 and 12 strings guitar (and sometimes Slide Guitar) from Tel Aviv, Israel. Released instrumental solo guitar albums (for fans of Fahey/Basho/Psychedelia/Experimental/Soundtracks). Also the bass player of the psychedelic improv group Farthest South . "Yair Yona's playing is fabulous throughout, utilizing alternate tunings, syncopations, and an immense compositional instinct to lead a Fahey-type acoustic sound across a smartly placed landscape of electronics, banjo, bass guitar and strings.
